Development Program Salary & Benefits
Pay Philosophy: Luby's believes that rewarding employees is vital to keeping our company successful. Accordingly, we've designed a compensation program that supports continued growth for you and Luby's.

If you are accepted into the Luby's Management in Training Program, you can expect an excellent income for your level of responsibility. By applying skills learned throughout the program, participants can set their own pace for advancement

Salary

The goal of our philosophy is threefold:

  • To attract and retain the best talent in the restaurant industry
Manager in Training/Assistant Manager:
Competitive salary based on skills, experience, and education. Regular performance evaluations provide potential for merit increases.

Associate Manager/General Manager:
As the top members of restaurant management, Associates and GMʼs are rewarded based on how their restaurants perform financially. Salary is then supplemented by a payout based on the restaurantʼs controllable profit margin.

Benefits

Luby's management employees are eligible to participate in optional Health, Dental and Vision insurance programs beginning on their date of hire. Luby's also provides company paid short term and long term disability benefits. Basic Life Insurance and Supplemental Life insurance is also available. Luby's also offers a company paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to all eligible employees.

Regular, full-time employees are granted PTO (Paid Time Off) benefits after each anniversary date as indicated below based on continuous, uninterrupted employment. PTO must be used each year. Unused PTO does not carry over to the next year.
Employees with less than 1 year of employment are granted 10 days of PTO*
Employees that have 1 to 4 years of employment are granted 18 days of PTO
Employees that have 5 years or more of employment 21 days of PTO
* May not be used during the initial MIT training period unless previously approved..
